How many people shoot coyotes from their stand whenever they get the chance? I had one at 15 yards this morning, and drew back on him, but I didn't shoot. I definitely could have, but I decided not to.

I will shoot a coyote on sight! We have a problem with them on the farm that I hunt though it might be different where you hunt.

Kill them all!! I will kill a coyote any chance I get! It doesn't matter if I'm in the woods or seeing one when I'm driving

Studies have shown that coyotes take as many as 7 out of 10 fawns. The only way to balance that out is to reduce the doe harvest. Translation: coyotes are our competition and I don't care to share with them. Yes, I will stick a broadhead in every one I see.

Shoot them any chance you get. It could possibly mess up the next few hours you are in the stand but that coyote running around could mess up your entire season. In my world, if it preys on deer or turkey, it dies.

70% mortality rate from one single cause? How does the deer population continue to grow given all the other fatal influences on their population? It would seem that within a short decade the deer population would be at extreme risk from coyotes, disease, hunting, vehicles, winter kill, ect. I know coyotes take fawns but have a hard time with the 70% number.

He said fawn mortality. And regardless of whether that number is 70% or 50% or even 35% it's noticeable. Choot em!

I missed one yesterday morning at 80 yards and my comfort zone is around 50. That's how much i hate yotes. They eat the chickens and if in pack will even kill cattle..
