I know quite a few of you saw my threads throughout the summer about my truck search. I finally placed an order for a 2016 Tundra back toward the end of August. I finally took delivery on Monday. I've since put in Husky Xact Contour floor mats, a bed mat, and an Extang Tri-Fold tonneau. Wife wants steps and Linex next. I will hold off for a little while. :D
Sweet!!! I drive a 2011 Tundra and will never go back to anything else in a half ton. Something i did a little different that turned out cool was buying some regular powder coated side steps and took them to be Line-X' ed turned out awesome. Congrats on the sweet new truck!!
Even though the money goes back to Japan, I bet that truck was fully built here in the states. Most other manufacturers can't say that. Sharp looking truck!

Thanks, everyone. The added space will be welcomed. Not to start a brand war, but it was very close between the Tundra and the F150. In fact, I test drove every 1/2 ton but the Titan. I even had an F150 and a RAM 1500 for extended test drives (several days with the RAM and 2 months with the F150). It wasn't an easy decision, really. Just went with what I liked best and could get the best price on.
Was your Tacoma a quad cab or access cab? See you went with access cab Tundra, curious about the space difference in the rear of cab. Learning real quick my access cab Tacoma is not a 2 hunter capacity vehicle. Will probably be looking to step up this summer. Either see what is left of the '15 or step up to the '16. I really like the Tacoma styling over the Tundra, but function over form is what I need.
My Tacoma was an access cab. A rear facing car seat wouldn't work, so I started shopping. I really was hoping to get a few more years out of the Tacoma, but that's life. As for the double cab Tundra vs. Crew Max, it was a tough decision. I had been driving a Super Crew F150 with the 5.5' bed for the last two months while my truck was on order. The cab space was awesome, but I just never grew accustomed to the shorter bed. At least the F150 has a flat rear floor so it's great storage when the seats are flipped up. The Tundra has a hump in the Crewmax making the backseat storage less desirable. In the end, the double cab fits normal sized adults just fine (and a car seat), plus I have a good amount of under seat storage and the 6.5' bed. My wife's 4runner will still be the long trip vehicle unless we're towing, so I didn't see cab space being the #1 factor.
