I know theres Big Bucks in the area of the 200 acres I hunt down the road from my house. While it usually isn't a core area, we have relied on a plentiful doe population to bring the big ones in during the rut. It has always worked. But this year we weren't seeing any sign or getting many pics. I bought 4 more stealth cam g30 to help see whats going on. since installing them a month ago havent checked them until yesterday. We set two of the g30's on video. When we went to check them we had a codec error so had to wait to get to laptop. All the pics we checked in the field worried us.... We had about 7 small bucks that were showing up regularly but there was hardly any does! We usually have 100's of pics of does and fawns. Our herd is definitely down. we aren't going to shoot any does out there but........ I got home and had a few videos of this guy. this is short vid but the best view of him. https://youtu.be/eEU2mGP6eLA
I have another vid of him sniffing cam...... it didnt seem to bother him much cause he bedded down in front of it right after. The last video of him was on the 29th of sep. So who knows. Hopefully he hangs around. He was bedding in this area im guessing cause the one video shows it and the rest of the videos are around 6am. Gonna take it easy and not hunt it too much. Keep the pressure off him right now. Idk if thats the right move but we'll see.
