Im going back to the boonie cap for many of my special hunts this year. When I get the feeling that "this is gonna be the day" Im putting on the boonie cap! It has been many years since I wore one ever since some bastard stole my lucky boonie cap from the back of my truck while I was hunting. Anyone else up for a little boonie cap lucky hat action come the rut? This is what I just got...good price.
Mine doesnt have the velcro. Love the boonie! Alright CLS! Bam it is on. I promise you those things are good luck plus I like the ability to fold up the left hand side so I can lock into my bow.
It wasn't a day where I felt like "this is gonna be the day" in the woods, so I wasnt wearing it. hahaha. So my lucky hat was lucky on good hunting days. hahaha.

Dogfish, get one man! We need the combined luck of the boonie caps to push us over the edge. hahaha. Some good ones on Amazon.com....cheap ones and they are awesome. Im going to order another one soon.
I actually always have one with me, have had it for a long time. Don't wear it when it's too cold out, but it will still be in my bag for every hunt. I was wearing it opening day when I shot my doe actually.
I wore a boonie cap for many years back in the late 80's early 90's. I was wearing it when I killed my first archery deer and wore it every hunt until I wore it out. I should buy a new one.
Coop, I agree, get one! I wore my lucky boonie cap for about 5 years. Killed many of my early deer and archery bucks with it. Brings back good memories and that always feels good in the deer woods.
I got this cheap facemask to match the boonie cap pictured in my original post. Gonna put it on when I hit my two or three money spots this pre rut.
I was wearing a boonie last year when I bagged my cow elk. Marine digi cam, washed soft. Needed it while glassing to keep the sun off my ears. Loved it. I also have a gore Tex one in realtree for rainy days.
