So just as I am sitting down to eat with the family last night (7:03 p.m. EST) I get a call on my CELL phone. I work in the IT field and am on-call pretty much 24/7 so sometimes I can get a call for security or other purposes from different vendors or support. I step outside and push the receive button. The lady on the other end of the phone has a screaming child in the background and asks if this Brad on the phone. I assure her that I am and she starts on asking if I've been hunting this year yet? I tell her I have been but want to know why she wants this information? She says that she wants to give me a really good deal and if I know who Jackie Bushman is? I tell her I do and she wants to get me to signup for the Buckmasters magazine. I am livid at this time. I have never gone to their website, much less signed up for anything from them. I ask her how she got my number and she says she can't tell me, ( my number is on the DO-NOT-CALL list) but that I would be removed from her calling list. I asked her if she had Jackie Bushman's cell number so I could call him when he sat down to eat and try to give him a good deal on a used computer but she didn't know it for me to try. I understand this lady is just trying to make a living but that just really set me off to bother me in the middle of dinner to try and get me to buy a magazine of someone I don't even care for. Has this happened to anyone else? Getting down off my soapbox now.
Yup buck masters blow....I told them I was extremely offended because I was an anti hunter. This was 3 years ago and I haven't received a phone call since. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
anytime you make any purchase related to hunting you have to figure the company is going to sell your info to some other company, whether you want them to or not. Good one asking for Jackie's cell #.....
I get calls about once a month from Buckmasters and each month I say place me on the do not call list. Then I get a call the next month from a different number but still Buckmasters Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love how they're still calling to ask you to buy their magazine. You should ask them if they want to sell you some CD's while they're at it.
I imagine these guys selling magazines out of the back of an unmarked van in Walmart parking lots all across Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas... Straight raking in the cash. $50 a week at least.
In that case they can probably hook you up with some professional quality speakers as well. This way you have something to jam your new Creed CD on.

I downloaded an app on my phone called prankdial. I save the numbers from solicitors and send them a prank phone call once in a while just for fun. The pranks are pre-recorded and it almost seems like they have some kind of response sensor because solicitors will sit and talk with them for a while until the recording says something offensive, usually. The app records the conversations and they can be rather hilarious.
Never have gotten a solicitation call on my cell, and have never put it on a no call list. Even in the IT field, if the call is outside of my area code and not in my contact list. Voicemail.
Have you been to any hunting trade shows? I always think they mine your info when you go to deer classics and stuff
