Friend of mine took a decent black bear in Saskatchewan with a toxic broadhead. It left a pretty serious wound channel and the bear didn't go far. I have no personal experience but it looked like the broadhead stood up to the shot and the bear died fast. He said they fly true with no issues. I think if you caught a shoulder though you might run into penetration iussues. giggity.
They will certainly kill so it can't hurt to try them out to see if you like them. Let us know what you think.
I used Toxic hads last year but never got to see them in work. I screwed them on this year and couldn't get a consistent pattern so I switched back to rage's. They are sure to leave a mean blood channel if you connect.
I will unfortunately for me thought hunting season in Alabama don't kick off till the 15th so an update will take a while
I am stuck on the NAP KillZone trophy tip. I took a young doe last week and the wound channel pretty much speaks for itself.
Love my wasp jak-hammers. The blood trail was so good that even I could follow it myself and I'm not know for having an eye for blood.
I shot a doe at 17 yards with a Toxic two years ago. Granted I 10-ringed her and watched her fall within 30 yards, the blood trail was less than OK. Since then I have left them in the garage.
I have only second hand experience with them, buddy shot buck with em terriable blood trail but killed the deer. I would not shoot them just because I believe there are better options out there. Sure they will kill but we're all human and don't always make perfect shots and I'm not sold that this head will hold up to sholderblade shots. Just my .02
