Oh man. Another one that gets me is "Shooter Buck". I understand that its just a term to categorize whether one would decide to kill or not kill a certain buck. Not sure why but it just makes me laugh. I usually go against the grain. Whatever the fads are i do/say the opposite. Which is also annoying. And the last one. Haha the first time i told my uncle i was watching "Bowhunt or Die" he said "Why would you want to watch a bowhunter die"
Same guy I'm assuming. I think "Gimme a minute" is just as bad. Hundreds of hunting shows out there and only a small handful are worth watching. That show not being one of them.
I really hate "Smoked him". Especially when it's a gut or shoulder shot. But even on good shots it's just annoying.
any show with kids "hunting". Dad: get your gun out the window. Dad: can you see him? Dad: ok, wait till he turns broadside. Dad: good shot, "now thats what its all about"
This is one I'm guilty of using but haven't been able to figure out a solid alternative. Every time I say it I hate myself inside just a little bit.
"Cull buck" to justify a smaller racked buck. Just waiting to hear the new one "Cull Doe", "She's never given birth to a Booner so she's on the cull list this year to get her genes out of the herd".
Management hunt, just call it doe shooting. You can call her a trophy doe it it makes you feel better.
"Smoked em" is my number one pet peeve. But then again, I don't really watch many of these shows anymore. They're all the same thing, with different and a lot of times the same advertisements and endorsements.
"Smoked em", especially if it's an early/midday hunt but a nighttime recovery, or a crappy shot. "Stick with us" or "Let's see what happens" on the lead in...if your putting it out there I'm 98% sure the story won't feature: a lost deer or a day/days of seeing nothing. "Booyah" - Chris Brackett and a few others. Jim Cramer (non hunting context) is equally annoying
