Counting down the days until my rutcation begins. Taking Nov. 5 through the 16th off with a bonus Halloween weekend on the front side. Oct. 27th is the infamous rutting moon for those that believe. Hoping I hit the prime of the rut, but can't beat the first 3 weeks of Novemeber any way you look at it.
Halloween weekend and then November 5-11 off work. Matt is coming up from NC and hunting with me Nov 7-11. Should be a great time.

Did you ever look into your tag situation with the IL hunt? Seen you posted in your other thread about having to list the name of the outfitter or something. Can you not just get a statewide OTC permit? Never really looked into outfitter guidelines or anything. Just thought it was odd to have to eat the tag if unsuccessful, especially for the price of them.
Good luck over this way man, I'm about another 30 or 40 miles west of Morgan county. I can't decide when I'm gonna take off work yet but you were right about anytime from around first of Nov then the next couple weeks. That's when it really kicked off around here last year.
I always try to take off the first or second week, last year the full moon was not optimal for my vacation, so this year I took second week of november as the nights will be gettting darker and darker. Now just need the wind and warmth to cooperate for a change.
Nah, I'm kind of in a rush to get back home this year to hunt with the wife, and I should be able to get it done by day 3 of the hunt. I'm hunting in the best spot on the property, I've been able to find a nice funnel pinch point, I just cant be picky!!! first buck over 130" gets a FMJ through the rib cage!!!!
Ya I'm just messin with ya.....I don't think I could handle hearing about Aaron Rodgers the whole hunt
