I picked up my 340 destroyer at the bow shop yesterday, shot it a bunch of times had it dialed in and feeling good. Went out this morning and drew my second arrow, heard a loud pop and much to my chagrin the upper limb is broken and splintered. Kinda upset me a little but at least it didn't happen when I had a buck in my sites. I was relieved that Barnesdale has replacement 75# limbs should be all set up in a week or so.

Heard great things about barnsdale limbs. Should make your destroyer great.

I don't blame Bow Tech the destroyer didn't owe me much I shot it a lot in 4 years. I shot it like Rainmen counting spilled tooth picks. Plus I will have 75# new limbs.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of people on AT talking about the barnsdale limbs making a great bow even better.

Barnsdale is definitely a top contender for limbs so you should be good to go. Hope they work out well for you.

Yeah I had my Destroyer 350 limb blow up a couple years ago at going to full draw, it sucked! Punched my self in the face. But bowtech shipped new limbs in a week. I too am looking to get the barnsdale, limbs as a back up for when these go. I still love my Destroyer and have yet to find a bow that shoots like for me. If I was you, I would still order the free factory limbs just to have on hand for back ups.

Barnsdale is probably the best limbs in the business! Can't go wrong and he usually is fast getting them shipped to you! I think they are around $175.00.

Yep $175. Not sure if I am going to even contact bow tech for the replacements, figuring I am getting a new bow with the limbs and new vapor trail strings and cables for just over $300.

Plus to be honest I never really cared for the Destroyer graphics on the factory limbs. I was thinking about buying a new bow after this season but I was hesitant because there really isn't a jump in performance that justifies buying a new flagship bow.

Yeah the destroyer was a beast of a bow with a lot of power! If you still like it why change? Essentially with the new limbs you have a new bow. All you gotta do now is dip the riser. :tu:

Let me know how you like them. I have been wanting to get a set for a while, but want to hear from someone that has them first. Are you going with 75 lbs limbs? That is what I was going to order

I am surprised this didn't turn into another Bowtech bashing thread. Guys love to hate on BT. I like BT bows a lot. Barnsdale makes excellent limbs. I shot a Specialized earlier this year that had Barnsdale limbs and it shot really nice.

I don't blame the bow like I said I shot it a lot. I don't blame the shop that the bow broke the day after I picked it up from tuning. I inspected the bow myself when I got it back before I dialed it in there was no delamination on the limbs. I do wonder if there was damage done last spring when I had a nock break. I spoke to David this morning at Barnsdale the new limbs will ship today. I am getting what amounts to a new Destroyer for a little over $300, seems like a bargain.

Stopped by the shop this am to see if my bow was done, not yet but it is reassembled with the old strings and cables. The owner was very impressed with the fit of the limbs.
