Yesterday I shot a doe at 10 yards. I heard the loudest thwack I've heard and she jump over 5 ft straight up and took off. I thought I smoke her but to my surprise. She went over 200 yards. I hit her a little low the arrow exited in the white hair of the belly and went 5 inch into the ground . The blood trail was incredible. Huge drops of blood every 20 ft. It was easy to follow. I shoot hha set at 25. now I hit where I was aiming so now I will aim a bit high for those closer shots. Think I only got one lung. entry exit
You had a good trail and found her, lesson learned is you did a good job. Often times they will duck the arrow and that shot would have been perfect wit ha shorter recovery, be careful not to over compensate because that is a better result than hitting one too high if it ducks. Congrats on the doe.
