Not sure if this has been discussed here yet, did a quick look through a few pages and didn't see anything.

Anyone play in these leagues? Win anything? I've never been big into fantasy sports much but the advertising for these things is bombarding all media lately and was curious if anyone had any first hand experience.

I just started playing on Draft Kings a couple weeks ago. It makes my Sundays a little more interesting that is for sure. I have only won $65 so far. Not bad for a $25 investment.

I am against it based on my dislike of fantasy football, but it is gambling and it is taking $ away from book makers.

No way, I have enough going on in my life.

It is funny, the commercials are like "You can spend all week at the office researching your picks". I'm sure companies like to hear that. I mean I only waste an hour or 2 on BH.com......

My brother in law has played a few times. I think he's put in $20 and won $60. It would be fun to set aside $100 before the season and play a handful of weeks. The $10/weekly buy-ins aren't too expensive but I'm not much of a gambler though, I much prefer to wisely use the money I already have.

Here's the thing I went and looked at the guys who win, I can tell you they spend hours on their picks. They look at everything I bet, so you really have no chance. So those 3.00 dollars games are fun and 1.00 ones. That's it for me, I won't go any higher.

What's crazy is that some people make a living off of this kind of thing. I couldn't possibly imagine doing that.

I spend roughly 2 hours every week creating my lineups . I don't join any tournaments and don't join anything other than 50/50 double ups. I use the same lineup in every game I join... And I usually join 10 matchups every Sunday.

Won $100 playing periodically over the baseball season and have won just over $100 in the 3 weeks of the NFL.

I also managed 5 fantasy baseball and have 6 fantasy football leagues... It's my second hobby behind bow hunting.

Did well this week in all my Fanduel cash lineups yesterday (tops 10% in all 4).

I am currently sitting around 11,000th place in a 114,000 person GPP - Have Abdullah, Calvin, Hauschka, and Seattle D going tonight. Really wish I wouldn't have picked Cooks...

Looks like Draft Kings/Fanduel could be in a world of trouble if the reports of employees using insider data to win large tournaments is actually true... I can't believe that their employees didn't have to something in their contracts banning them from playing any kind of daily fantasy sports on any sites.
