I just watched the latest episode where the guy was hunting in Kentucky. Actually one was in Wisconsin as well. Both of them said they were using Lonewolf climbers. I was just curious what climber from Lonewolf and how they have it set up? For instance if you use the sit and climb what seat do you have on it. Most of the time all we hear about is the lock on and sticks. What do you guys prefer when using a Lonewolf climber?

Personally I use the LW wide sit and climb if I'm going to be out longer than just a few hours, super comfy seat, but weighs a bit more and has a wide profile while walking through woods, when I'm going in deep and want a light setup I'll use the same platform just take my hand climber top, I bought the sit strap for it and its a light little setup.

That's my climber setup, can't say that's what they were using in the latest video but just my own 2cents hope it helps.

Thank you. I use all types of stands but do prefer climbers when I am in the area that has good trees. I was just curious if they use the stock seat or they change them out with something else.

The setup I was using in Kentucky is the Lone wolf sit and climb with the standard seat that comes with it, I have had it about 12 years and its always my go to stand. The only thing I have done to it is added 2 pull ropes and more comfy shoulder straps. When I climb, I face the tree and use the arm rest to pull myself up. I never really sit to climb. Also that allows me to push my lifeline up the tree as I go. I think its very comfy and can sit all day in it if need be. I will try and get a pic of the set up if I can for you.

Thanks for the post. I am finding that I like the stock seat the most as well when adjusted correctly. Also do you prefer the climbers to the lock on?

Any time I get a chance to hunt out of my climber I do if that tells you anything. Nothing wrong with the lock on its just much faster and quieter for me. I still use the lock on I just always fiend myself leaving them in the tree and then not having a stand for next place I want to hunt, so then I grab my climber...

I agree with you. As I get older it is a lot more fun to sit longer when I'm in a comfortable seat.

One last question. Just out of curiosity have you tried the sit and climb wide top yet? I have one and it is extremely comfortable for all day. The standard is still easier for morning and afternoon but if you sit all day the wide is hard to beat.
