Sent in my mP6 Black a month ago and got a MP8 Black today, how can they do this I bought it off of Ebay a year ago, what class,I'm impressed ,now to see how it does compared MP6! No charge for shipping it back to me either! I did get updated with there proceedures though!! great Company Rocky
I have both MP6's and MP8's. Both are spectacular cameras. I'm glad to hear that their CS hasn't slacked off as I haven't had to contact them in the few months, thankfully. I'm ready for some pics from your new cam
I guess my expectations are different then everyone else. I'd been PO'd if it took them a month to send me a replacement. Regardless if it was a newer model or not.
^ what's wrong with our country You buy a camera off ebay (which voids warranty) use it for a year (warranty would be up by now anyway), then send it in (probably takes 5 days) they decide to send you a brand new more expensive model (which they had no obligation to do, and probably takes 5 more days), and you would be PO'd because it took them 20 days to make a decision? Wow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Off season I would agree, however around hunting season I expect a little longer results honestly...they are hunting too I'd bet
I just had a Red 40 that had a damn mud wasp get in through the bottom port and make a nest inside. The mud and all was impacted into some of the electronics and ended up shorting the camera out. It was a replacement camera and I had just gone over the one year on it. They gave me a RA # and I sent it in. Last night I found I had a package in the mail and low and behold they sent me a new HD 40!!
My job never stops because its hunting season. I still have to get my **** done. I consider trail cameras to be a expendable type electronic. There isn't alot you can replace on them for "repair". If they don't already have a replacement (referb) ready to go then they ship you new stock. It's faster, way less overhead, and overall less expensive in the long run and makes for happy customers.
I agree with ya, I just guess I assume response time will slow down during it, not that it is right, I guess I'm conditioned to it (Pavlov's dog theory)
Same here, I'm done with that company, for a while at least. Also if you guys are always having to send in cameras because they're broken, shouldn't that be a clue that maybe they aren't great cameras, yes they may have good customer service but what good is a camera that quits on you every year (or month.) Maybe the only reason that they do have good CS is because they know their cameras are going to break often so they want to be prepared.
I haven't had a brand yet with the exception of Reconyx that hasn't malfunctioned in one way or another over the course of time, and believe me I've tried them all. The jury is still out on my Exodus cameras but I will tell you Covert has the best customer service around. Are Coverts the "perfect" camera? Not yet, but I will say the 2015 models are very good thus far. When you run several dozen cameras 365 days a year you learn quick that ALL cameras will have problems, my money will continue to go to the company that stands behind they're products 110%
I believe, all but one that I've ever owned (which was the Covert.) Not trying to hate on them I just had some very very unpleasant experiences with them.
I agree. Every Covert I have owned with the exception of one 2014 Red 40 has been sent back. Just a guess but I've probably sent back around 6-8 cams over the past 2-3 years. I'm tickle that they have always taken care of me by sending NIB replacements but I hate when they quit during the time I need them the most.
I have nothing against Covert other then I think they are overrated. They may take good pics but I haven't had a good track record with their cameras. I've had 5 total and none of them have made it passed two seasons. I think their true colors (customer service) is starting to show now that Pat isn't hand holding forum members.
