    Good afternoon,

I have a few ladder stands set up on the property that i hunt. However, I have been looking into getting a solid climbing stand so that I can be a lot more mobile in where I hunt. Any suggestions on brand, size, safety and any other tips are greatly appreciated!

Can't go wrong with a Lone Wolf.

I probably won't be the only one, but I would suggest a hang on rather than climber. They are pretty much both just as mobile but you will find more trees a climber wont work on that a hang on would.

Only thing about a climber is they have better seating.

I have to agree with this. While scouting for stand sites this year I kept a climber in mind, and a lot of the trees I chose for treestands would not have been very accommodating to a climber.

That and you have way better cover. Can't really climb trees that have a lot of lower branches with a climber. I can think of a handful of other advantages as well.

I agree. A Lone Wolf Alpha II and some climbing sticks are a great mobile setup!

I've got a LW sit and climb and an Assault hang-on with sticks. Love them both, but I use the climber most.

I have a Summit Viper classic, its a bit heavy with all steel construction. Besides that very easy to use, safe, and very comfortable. Great stand.

Summit viper very comfortable. I have trees already cut and ready to hunt depending on the wind. I hardly ever use hang on's. But both options are very successful.

Summit Viper for me as well. I've had mine for nearly 8 years and it's still going strong. I hunted with it Wednesday afternoon and it's still just as comfortable, sturdy and safe as the day I got it.

for a climber I'd recommend a Summit due to fact ya can easily find/buy replacement cable's etc....I like the mobility of a climber though as stated already a hangon is more versatile. I like quickness and lightness of a climber though. in and out same day or maybe move 50y after done hunting for the next setup

Summit Viper is hard to beat. Easy to use. Well built. Comfortable. Front bar gives a better sense of security. In my opinion it's the best all around climber on the market.
