Ok guys opening day has a cold front moving through (I'm excited ). But my question is. I can only hunt in the am till 8 the spot I'm think of hunting is only 5 min walk in. Could I do more damage if I hunt and leave that early? Normally I stay till 10 or so. I will be going after work but to a different spot with more oaks. Now I know you can shoot them from the couch. Ok

I wouldn't go. What if you shoot one? Are you gonna have enough time to bring it to the car? Take the guts out? Go home and hang it?

I could hang it there. And if I did get one I could go in a little late. Or just leave it for a couple hrs.

Just go a 5 minute walk in the morning isn't going to hurt anything. If you get one you'll have to be a little late for work.

I would skip the morning, sunrise is almost 7am. What happens if you shoot something at 7:45 and it runs off. Would you be able to sit and wait and then track it possibly for a couple hours or would you have to come back later, and how much later would that be.

I don't normally hunt sunday evenings because if something happened and I couldn't find the deer, I wouldn't be able to come back until days later.

I wouldn't go for an hour or less if you really like the spot. Early in the season and lots of time to kill deer. Unless you have some buck showing up at that time. That is the only way I would go in there.

Do it right or don't do it at all.
