4 kids 1 lifestyle. We are a group of 4 teenagers from Central Minneota trying to film all of our hunts to share on our new Youtube channel. Below is the link to our first video.. any feedback will be appreciated. And yes we know the shot wasn't the greatest on the second doe but the quartering to shot looks more extreme than it was due to the hunter being a couple feet to the left of the camera. Editing looks very good. But the hunter should DEFINITELY not have taken that shot. Even if the deer was not quartering as much as the camera suggested, it was still quartering to and that is never a good shot to take. Shot placement also looked pretty far back. I would also recommend that all of you get safety harnesses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Watch the level of the music you are putting in so it doesn't blast so much higher than the audio of the video recordings. Take your time on the shots, appeared like you were rushing in order to try and get shots on film.
Be careful with the foul language, I could have swore I heard the f bomb get dropped a few times on the first kill, maybe I was wrong though!
I thought I did too but wasn't sure. If there was they should definitely watch what they say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Two deer, two gut shots and a miss. It appears that you are pushing yourselves a little too hard to get video. That's not a great way to start. If my son took the same shot as was taken on that second deer, his bow would be hanging in the basement for a while. Sorry to be harsh, but you wanted feedback, and that video is kind of hard to watch. Worry less about the filming and focus more on limiting your shot selection. Good luck, I look forward to seeing better video's in the future.
Great video guys! Yes the shots weren't the best but I enjoyed watching a group of friends enjoying the outdoors! You live and learn!
Thanks for the feedback everyone.. We agree with all the things pointed out. It was our first video and as you can see the second shot was rushed and we would like to apoligize for taking that shot. It was his first bow kill and after he missed I'm sure he was pretty nervous. Once again we are sorry but we as a team talked and all agreed that shot placement comes before filming. You guys will see better from now on! Thanks again
This response shows some class. You guys will get better, especially with good attitudes and showing a willingness to improve. I dont even film but i do make sure i take good shots (not that i havent done the same you guys just did) its just being young and excited. Just remember you are killing them.... they deserve a clean and painless as possible death.
We are hunting in area 215 which is a management area. Each of us team members have our normal archery tag and each of us have one bonus antlerless tag.
I will also add, I don't remember which deer but the camera man kept saying "take it" and seemed like he rushed the shooter into getting a shot while the deer was in frame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you to everyone who brought up the safety harness issue. We all talked about it and we then learned that one of prostaff members dad broke his neck 3 years ago to a treestand accident... He showed us pictures after the accident and i think it was extremely eye opening. All of the pro staff members are now hunting with safety harnesses. Thank you!!!
Thank you very much for changing the way you hunt! They pull save your life! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
