I was getting hungry around 1030 so i climbed down to get something to eat. on my way to the truck i was contemplated if i should eat there or get back to the stand. I know i have movement all hours of the day so i took it back to the tree. when i stepped into my stand i heard a twig snap to my left so i glanced over and saw nothing but rack through the brush. i rushed to get strapped in turn the camera on and get my bow. I had to wait for what seemed to be a life time but was only about 5 min for him to clear the brush. When he did he started to walk away from me so i hit the grunt call twice that was enough to get him to stop and give me broad side shot at about 45 yards. I came to full draw and settled in on him and let the arrow fly. I though i gut shot him but after reviewing the footage I heart shot him. He ran about 60 yards before pilling up right over the hill from me.
Congrats!...hopefully one of many for you...45 yards seems like a poke for a first buck...glad it turned out to be a good shot and not a gut shot...doesn't always happen that way.
Great buck, congrats to you!! Hopefully, he`s the first of many. He`s gotta go on your wall since he`s your first. Great job..
