I know a lot of guys have mentioned they used ratchet straps with their lone wolf hang on and ladder sticks because they are a little sturdier than the straps that come with the stands, etc. What ratchet straps are you using and where are you attaching them when you hang your stand?

I've never heard of this. The straps supplied are pretty sturdy.

The straps they come work are very sturdy.
I use ratchet straps to get around trees that are too large for the straps they come with.
I use 1" wide atv straps. I put them in approximately the same place as the cam lock straps.

No need for ratchet straps IMHO.

I can get my LW tighter with the supplied straps than I was ever able to get any stand with a ratchet strap. In fact, I often have to loosen it to get the platform down.

If you can't get it tight, you're simply doing it wrong.

I can get em pretty tight with the straps that come with it, I was just wondering if guys use the ratchet straps so they can get it tighter. 18 ft up a tree, I want that as tight as possible. Especially when about 5 yds behind my tree is a 30 ft drop lol. Thanks for the input guys!

You should be able to get it as tight with the straps as a ratchet strap, I only use the top strap, put my knee on the seat then pull the end of the platform up with my foot. When you put the base back down it will be tight.

If you can't get them tight you are doing it wrong. Mine are so tight I struggle to cam the foot platform into the down position. The key to getting the straps tight is to make sure you tighten them when the stand is in the folded position.

I only use the straps that come with the stand. The new stick mounts are awesome! Mount your climbing sticks right to the stand with no noise or movement. Great product.
