get a broadhead sharpening tool, I bought a Smiths tool on Amazon for about $6. I have found that the blades coming from the factory are not always as sharp as they could be. A good test I use is to run a stretched rubber band lightly down the blade, if it snaps instantly, the blade is sharp. If no, I sharpen it. Generally I have sharpened about half of the new blades I purchased.

X3. Or if you trust them buy new blades. I would never use the same blades re-sharpened on a expandable head no matter how great of shape they're in.

There are a few options. You can be a disposable landfill guy of guy or a self sufficient type of bowhunter. Just because a blade is dull does not mean its trash. If that were the case I would be buying new knives, chisels and saw blades. Rather, I sharpen them. That is a skill set all bowhunters used to have. Today's disposable society seems to be the norm but it doesnt have to be. Thats whywe came up with the stay Sharp Broadhead sharpening guide.
