Anyone use rage hypodermics ive had a few people tell me thats all they use, im pretty sure they are the most exspensive broadheads in stores. I am probably gonna buy some on thursday just wanting to hear some stories about them.
my wife uses them but she hasn't killed anything yet but from what I hear they are awesome. I've used the normal 2 blades and they do great so I'm sure the hypodermics are just as good.
Shot a Jake with em this spring lots a guys at the shop shoot em an loved em last fall, steel ferul instead of aluminum so its a tough head, if you're an expandable guy its probably gonna be one of your best bets. Good arrow flight too because in flight its pretty small but opens to 2" Sent from my MotoE2(4G-LTE) using Tapatalk
I have used them for 2+ years and they have worked very well for me. I have killed 3 bucks and 2 bears with them and about 40 yards on all the animals that I have shot. The one buck that traveled farther was on me. I hit it a little high from and elevated position and nicked the top of one lung but center punching the other lung. That deer traveled a bit farther but still expired rather quickly.
I use the 2 blade chisel tip and like them a lot. Ive heard mixed reviews on hypos but mostly positive
I like them. 2" hole going in, 2" hole going out. Buried in the dirt on the other side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am using them this year. ****s sporting goods had them on sale for less than the original. I killed a deer with them this year and it got the job done. I like them but I also like muzzy and other heads. It's the shot placement that counts, but I do like them better than the original. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm also shooting them this year. I picked up a pack a week before the season came in to ensure that everything would be smooth come opening day. They are like bullets...they fly just like field points. Although I've had plenty of opportunities on does and small bucks, I'm still holding out on one of the big boys. I know the standard 2 blade Rage did a fantastic job. The deer in my avatar was shot with one. Maybe this weekend I can put one through a P&Y
Those are some mean wounds on those deer, the first deer i ever shot was with the rage normal 2 blade, and that was really a lucky shot. First time really bow hunting and this beautiful 10point walked about 50 yards from me, i didnt have a range finder so i was guessing alot, hit him right in the sweet spot, ran about 40 yards and died. I like expandables because they fly just like a field point. I have a bad time with fixed blades not flying the same.
That's what I've finally decided to hunt with this year are the HYPO's, one question, whats the best way to practice with one....Just take one and shoot it and keep replacing the collars, or use the practice head and hope that it flies as true as the real broadhead....Just was wondering... Thanks
Use the practice head, i know that they fly the same, if your in doubt you could shoot the practice head, then shoot one of the sharp ones to be sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They fly the same as the practice head. Practice head is in the packet when you purchase the broadheads.
Yes, that is what I was asking, if I sight in using practice head, are the real heads going to be the same....I wanted to go ahead and shoot 1 head just to be sure.....so I guess you'll just have to get a pack of collars if you plan on shooting more than once with the real heads.... Creeks
