I've seen a lot of videos on mock scrapping.
Some people use maybe one bottle and some people use up to three different bottles do to the way a deer makes a mock scrape. (From it's head down to the dorsal glands). I've also hear people just pee on the scrape. This is getting some what confusing. How do you make your mock scrape and what do you use.

I use tinks dripper and power scrape. Make your scrape, spray some power scrape in and around it, then hang the dripper with power scrape in it.

I would highly recommend the Wildlife research dripper over the Tink's. Tink's runs out way too quickly.

My thought is always to get lots of scent up front and have the bucks take it over then freshen up when I hunt

Step 1 take stick and scrape some dirt
    Step 2 piss in scrape
    Step 3 hang trail cam
    Step 4 kill buck

Last year I started a lil bitty scrape and pissed in it once, within two weeks it was the size of a truck hood with several smaller scrapes appearing within 100 yds. Save your money on the scents and buy a case of beer :)

I used the tinks power scrape dripper...not impressed at all...it ran out fast and nothing touched it...then i got some code blue grave digger scrape mate and some rack rub gel...put the grave digger in the scrape and the rack rub on the licking branches...they started using it sometime the next week. The nice thing about the grave digger is its granules so when they freshen the scrape or it rains it also releases more of the grave digger scent...I may freshen it now with my own piss when i go to check it. I don't think I'll bother with the tinks dripper again. Unless I find a scrape that a big buck made and I want him to come in the next few days I plan to hunt.

I bought some of those tinks scrape starter things. It was my first time trying to make a mock scrape so I will report back when I check camera.
In other words I am of no help and should not have even commented. lol

I made some mock scrapes and the next night deer were hitting them. I used tinks power scrape and the scrape dripper. I uploaded two videos to my Facebook. Click the link in my signature and check them out, it's from the night after i started them.

that is awesome! I have always been a "don't take a leak round my stand" Nazi....

I figured they would catch the "human" side of the pee scent and spook off.....this is a revelation to me!!!! it really works well?

Piss works excellent... Save your money on a $15 bottle of scent and get a case of cold beverages.

Make sure there is a low/overhanging branch. That is one of the main reasons a scrape site is selected by bucks.

Yes. There has been research that shows human piss does not spook deer. Let it fly!!!

I started this Mock Scrape with a Tink's Power Mock Scrape Starter Kit. He came into it the first day after I started it. I added Forehead gland to it a couple of weeks back. It has been working really well for me. I refreshed it today with more Power Mock Scrape.

You guys must have some aggressive bucks if they start hitting your scrapes that fast. I think I hunt sissy bucks. lol
