goll-darnit!!. i tagged out at 5:55 on thursday night on a 225ish bear and had him loaded by 6:30 and on the road. i pulled the cam only to find these 2 piggies Denise wants either one bad. may have to set her bow a bit higher.
she's off thurs/fri. will haul tail up to bear camp and try to get a stand hung for me to film. could be interesting

well, Mrs Bucks did not get the biggie but got a good consolation prize. i dropped her off at 4:30 and was heading back to camp when the phone rang at 5:00 saying she shot and heard the "moan" smile. she made a perfect double lung shot at 8 yards and the bear only went about 20 before tipping over. it ran towards the road so it was only about a 30 yard drag out. we seen a pile of bear this year but its time to start deer hunting now. had a good buddy bring his son up for a 2 day hunt also. they sat on a great spot but did not see a bear..maybe next year.
Congrats to you both. Nothing like an animal running towards the road or truck. I must be shooting the wrong arrows. Mine never seem to do that.
