I was in D1ck's Sporting Goods yesterday (Not sure why they edit it out) and saw where they are now selling rattling antlers that are actual sheds that have been found and had the brow tines cut off. $100 a set. Seems crazy to me that someone would pay that for rattling antlers. I also wonder what they are paying the person who finds the sheds. Curious what yalls thoughts are.

Ridiculous. Cabela's had dog training sheds for $30 a piece from about a 25" shed.

I use a set of antlers I cut off a dead buck I found for rattling antlers. I'm sure there are people that will pay that for them, but thats way more than I would spend.

I saw them the last time I was in there too. I don't recall the price but I've got a set from one of the deer my grandpa used to own that I use in addition to my rattle bag.

Yeah, anyone that has hunted for a while has ran into a dead deer or killed their own that they could cut them off of so I guess they are targeting newbies but man $100 is outrageous.

I'll bet she would sell you if she thought that she wouldn't have to pay someone to take you!!!!!!!!!!

Saw those at cabelas as well.
They were the same thing, brows cut and a cord drilled through attaching the two.

It did pose a question to my though, do any of you use two different sized antlers for your rattling set?
When you clash two different sizes ,they do have different tones. Possibly adding realistic fight sounds between 2 different bucks.
I don't know as don't use calls ( figured I'd do more harm than good)
