Long story short - 4 days of ridiculous heat, a bunch of failed stalks, and a lot of water consumed finally culminated in this buck taken at mid day today. 6 hours from the time we spotted him until I got a shot. 48 yards in his bed with 2 cameras running. Shot was dead center in his body and took out liver and back of one lung. 300 yard recovery and I'm tagged out. Day and a half left until I left so we're headed out to find one for Dusto. The dry streak has finally ended.
