I got a used Apache Carbon and now the arrow clunks around on the riser shelf before I draw it back. I saw using the loop side of Velcro works well as well as mole skin. I have also seen the rubber stick-on pad with a little cradle. What setup would you guys recommend?

I like mole skin but I'm a little ocd when it comes to my bow so I will take as much time as I need to cut it perfect to the shelf and the riser cut outs.

For a while I used a G5 drop away that was non-containment. To hold the arrow so I could move my bow around, I cut a piece of small rubber hose about 2 inches long and then split one side length ways.

I glued it to the riser so that the split was held open slightly. It worked great. Held the arrow snug enough that I could move around without loosing it and when. Drawing the rest lifted it right out.

I would just get one of those little plastic tabs that you stick on that "cradles" your arrow. It'll keep it in place better then just setting it on top of velcro or mole skin

Perhaps it comes from all my shooting until this year being without a containment rest. I learned to hold the arrow onto the rest with my finger until drawn. I do that today and it keeps the arrow from bouncing around and making noise.
