Finally got the chance to go back to Illinois for archery this year , and having an unbelieveable time getting my
non resident permit . Followed all the rules and everyone going with me has gotten theirs. Three calls to Illinois DNR
and four calls to the service center located in New York all I am getting is the well I haveto get my supervisor line .
Just a little tired of the run around. They took the money no sweat. Hope nobody else is having issues. Just ventin
t my bowhunting buds I will be there in Nov. come hell or high water.

Illinois is a Hellhole. Some of the best hunting but still a hole. Take it from a life long resident. Hope you get that straightened out

Pretty much, anything having to do with waiting on the state is frustrating.

What type of tags are you trying to get? Only reason I ask is because I went and got my bow tags other day and the guy said out of state hunters are only allowed 2 tags this year and can't get only doe tags.

Should just come to Wisconsin. We basically just give non resident tags away. Be sure to shoot all our 1.5 year old bucks though like everyone else.

Not sure how it works for non-res permitting, but I know they changed at least one thing with it this year. The plan was to decrease non-res hunters tagging antlers with antlerless only permits.

One thing is for certain, this broke @$$ state will cash a check upon arrival and issue whatever was applied for when they see fit. Usually before season date, but never dealt with your situation.

I'll try to get you a number within the next week, off work until Tuesday. Might be able to get you a better number to call. Will take a day or two once back at work. Coyple guys at work have friends in the Springfield office.
