To all the ground blind hunters what are some things your doing this fall to help you with success from the blind? What are some of the tell tale signs as to where you need to setup? Thoughts. I find one of the biggest things is just being able to get in it undetected and concealment. What are some key tactics?

I use a ground blind in the same spot I would a tree stand when there aren't any trees around to put a stand in. If there's a tight confined area with good ground cover, a ground blind can be really handy. Especially when it's where two different habitats meet (woods and field edge, thick brush and a wide low cut trail, standing corn and cut corn, etc).

So a great spot would be between bedding/Cover and food? Im thinking about nestling one in right off the edge of a standing bean field. Great tip!!

U really have a way with the surrounding trees and how u hide'em thats pretty gud man thanks for sharing. So are these blinds already out or do you take them down each hunt?

If I can't get it up against something to break up the outline I will put it out really early and brush it in a lot. I like to use tall grass from the swamp and pine branches on top because when they die they don't lose leaves like other tree branches. I might post a picture sometime so you can see it.

Normally my ground blinds don"t go up before the October lull is over. Usually around 10/20 Once setup--- they are left to sit for the season. They may not be hunted more than a couple of times, as I wait for a perfict wind before hunting them.

Awesome ive always just put them out before the opener so the deer could get used to them but I think its gonna really depend more on where an how there hidden plus another thing im concerned with is the field of view and how many lanes im going with. Ive always just went with the front and side view but may try something different this season. Here is a pic of the blind im going with as I only have experience with a blind I built before but this is a whole new ball game. uploadfromtaptalk1441311623211.jpg

You need get past eyes obviously, so find a natural brush in spot. Also ears pay a huge role in stealth and being undetected that many don't pay much attention to. Make sure to find/plan a route to go silent, silence all equipment, don't accept even the slightest noise coming and going. Never be heard again! soundbarrierhunting.com

Its all about time and stealthy entry/exit. The more time the better for them to get used to it. It seems hard to completely make a large blind blend in totally unnoticed. Once they're used to it, entry/exit in complete silence is biggest key. www.soundbarrierhunting.com
