Curious whether anyone practices a quick second shot? Mine is rather loud, hoping the bowjax system I put on helps, but not counting on it. I know I have an entry level package, but sounds like all crossbows are fairly loud. Do you ever prepare for either a quick follow up shot or potential second shot? Reload while sitting etc., this is supposed to be simpler but trying to go through all the different scenarios it seems like it introduces a lot of different potential complications as well.
That's pretty quick. That being said, when you say "all shots were within 20 yards", are you saying hit the target at 20 yards or within 20 yards of each other? All kidding aside I think I'll try a few to see how I do. Have to get used to this accudraw system. I can see the potential for a serious snafu if you forget to unhook one of the clips from the string.
cls74 I messed up. Didn't notice it was a crossbow thread till after the fact. Hence I deleted my post. That was all with a compound. 30 secs would be tight with a x-bow.
Under 1min with my Ibex, that's due to trying to be stealthy... It can be very tough in a tree stand that has a front safety rail...
With my crossbow I got off a second shot on a deer I hit it the spine this year within 30 seconds, I was on the ground so it is easier for me to recock my bow, but I still got another shot fairly quick. It didn't need to be quick, but I didn't want to make the deer suffer.
