The organization staged a protest on a major road that leads to the Minnesota State Fair last Saturday. BLM let it be known well ahead of time when and where the march would take place. The general public did not support the march. The St Paul police department opened a clear channel of communication with the march organizers so the march would be allowed to happen without conflict, the police department escorted the march and made certain that the protesters would be able to send their message without conflict. How did these people show their appreciation and respect. They chanted pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon. Mutual respect until there is that the conflicts will continue.

People can protest all they want, but blocking roads should not be allowed. What if that caused a major delay in first responders getting to an accident or an emergency. I'm going to be honest, If I'm driving down a highway and there's a mass of people blocking it, I'm not stopping. I don't know the intent of that mass of people and I'm not putting myself or my family at risk or in their mercy.
I'm tired of all the bulls*** these days. I'm just gonna get off the grid and live in the woods from now on.
I wonder why they don't march thru North Minneapolis to spread the message? Evidently shooting people to protect drug turf, or because they wear the wrong colors. or if you get disrespected doesn't matter as much because there is no $ in that.
I'm honestly starting to strongly think this lifestyle in Alaska is looking more and more promising....not sure I want to bring kids into this BS.
I was at the state fair Saturday but thankfully came in the back way and didn't see any of this crap. All of the interviews I saw that night though on the news were ridiculous to say the least.
The follow up comments made by the St Paul BLM spokesman really did show the true colors of the movement.
Here's the part that irritates me the most. Black lives haven't mattered for years, not unless those lives were taken by white cops. Thousands of young black men are killed every years at the hands of other young black men, yet that's not a battle anyone is willing to take on. We have a president that publicly state that he doesn't believe long term incarceration for drug related crime is the best answer, yet most of these young black men are dying due to drug and gang related crime. The black community and liberals love to tell you how young black men are being targeted by law enforcement. Gee Whiz, I can't imagine why. I don't care what color your skin is, if you are doing illegal things, resisting arrest, fighting with the police then you should expect to be get treated harshly. If you are obeying the law, polite and articulate to the police, most likely you are going to have a decent experience with them. We need to get over this F*ck the police mentality and start saying F*ck the criminals.
Amiri king has a good clip on YouTube that kinda hits on this plus it's funny. I'm not into a lot of his YouTube vids but the "f*%k the police" one is pretty accurate.
Every day I drive to and from work in DC, I realize that to black people, black lives don't matter. They all live without any regard for the law, common decency, or life in general. They kill and rob each other and don't blink. They jaywalk across 4 lanes of traffic and expect I'm going to stop my car to let them casually stroll across the street, and then cop an attitude when I honk at them. They drive on the shoulder of the highway at 85 mph. I could go on.
That has way less to do with skin color than it does with the way they are being raised, the environment they are living in and the attitude of those that they look up to. There are plenty of white people that do the exact same type stuff that you are talking about. We as a society need to work to correct those issues and it's not something the government can do with social programs. There needs to be a grass roots movement that stands up and tells these people it's no longer going to accepted. They will no longer be allowed to terrorize the people around them. It's time that they learn how to own up to their own actions and learn how to become a responsible productive part of society. If they can't do that, then their lives don't really matter anyway.
Exactly, I see multiple races amongst these disruptions they are doing. They are disruptions not protests. Protests are organized, thoughtful and oftentimes issued a permit. I wish the media would just ignore them, but even if they did they would just resort to something more outlandish in "protest" to the lack of media coverage. I'm not racist, could care less about the tone of ones skin or their ethnicity. I am highly prejudice though, and that prejudice is cast upon a broad spectrum of people. I never thought I would see the day when rioting, looting, protesting or any form of civil disobedience would be up for negotiation but that is exactly what we have resulted to. The double standards are so incredible it is almost unbelievable. "You can't judge a whole group of people based on a few bad apples". That is what both sides argue, yet both sides do just that. Everyone is always worried about gun control bringing the next civil war, I think we're seeing the making of the next war inside our own borders if this isn't brought under control. How to do that is the biggest unknown.
See demonstrators in Baltimore are threatening to riot if the judge, who is also black, grants the motion to change venues for the trial in he Gray case. This motion is supposed to be heard on the 10th, a week from tomorrow. If it was an organizer who stated such, and the threat becomes reality with riots omce again occuring then that person(and anyone else stating such) should be arrested and charged with inciting a riot.
I had to stop for some blacks on the road just the other day. Occasionally there are reds and white-faced blocking the road too. Once in a while, I'll even have to swerve for a charolais.
