Thought I'd share this with you guys...these are before and after pictures of a rack my wife found about 10 years ago behind her parents house.

As you can see it was in pretty bad shape, we figure this deer must have been shot (possibly poached) the fall before, as she found it in the spring. Below are some after pictures, my parents had it restored as an anniversary present for us, I think it turned out pretty good!

Hope you guys enjoy the pics. Any guesses on what it might score? My wife wants to be able to have a number to brag about since this would be much bigger than anything we've shot while hunting :busted:

That turned out great! It's such a shame that people get the urge to poach animals. I know being a hunter that's all about the fair chase and being a honest hunter, I can only hope those types of people get caught in the act some day and lose all of their hunting privileges.

That's sweet. I'd love to have the dead head I just found restored like that if it didn't cost an arm and a leg!

it's never occurred to me to score a rack that had fake bone added to it? It would have been interesting to see the original rack before it got busted up. The restoration looks really nice though.

That looks great. If you don't mind me askin whats something like that run. Ive got one that was road kill last year and found the guy with trail cam photos. We are guessing him over 200 inches and thought it needed to be done. Thanks
