Hey, I got into archery so I could spend time with my kids if they decide to pick it up when they get older. Then needless to say I got hooked. I'll probably start picking brains here soon so be prepared. LOL I picked up a Parker Inferno at a great deal for what all came with it. I know it's an older bow, but just getting into this I couldn't see spending $800. on a bow the still have to get all the accessories.

Welcome. Bowhunting is definitely addicting! You def dont need a flagship bow to kill deer. My good buddy has killed more big bucks than anyone i know. I mean some HUGE deer. And he took them all with a less than mid grade bow. The expensive bows are nice but its too easy to get caught up in the high tech gadgetry and super expensive gear. It can take away from the real reason we are out there. Which is to Enjoy Nature and regain some sanity. I swear some guys should be walking down a runway at a fashion show instead of in the woods. Well good luck and i definitely hope your kids get into bowhunting as well. You should find a lot of good help on this forum. I know i have already.

Philip welcome and what kind of bow you shoot does not matter. Only thing important is that you enjoy it and have fun with it.
