Hello. I have a 2004 Mathews Outback and it has an older Trophy Ridge 3 pin vertical sight with the harmonic dampers and a muzzy zero effect rest on it. I want to replace them both with something newer, cost effective/dependable. I was told to purchase the QAD Ultra Rest HDX. Let me know what route you think I should go.

Sights are cheap, I'm not familiar with your sight or what's wrong with it. That said tru glo makes some nice $40 sights.
For your rest a more cost effective option may be the whisker biscuit or the qad hunter rest.
Both are in the 50-60 dollar range.
    That hdx runs around $150.

It all depends on what you want to spend. Is this your first bow?

Sword sights are solid and durable. The hdx is good but if you hunt in snow I would go with a trophy taker smackdown pro because it won't freeze up on you.

The HDX is a great rest but like KJKlump said check out the Hunter rest. I had one before my HDX and never had any problems with it
