Not only do I have buck fever, but I have deer fever. It's my first season bowhunting and I'm 15 days away. Looking forward to sitting in the stand, relaxing, and waiting for some deer. Some days I won't see anything, and hopefully a few days this year, something amazing will happen and that 11 point I've been watching will come broadside and give me a shot.

Anyone else eagerly waiting their season opener?

Im one of the unfortunate Illinois hunters that has to wait until Oct.... but the best way to describe it is i went from being a little kid going out of his mind waiting for Christmas, to a big kid going out of his mind waiting for October 1st..

9 days and counting..... driving me crazy. I am just a little sad though because I still don't have a shooter on camera on our 155 acre farm.

Just wait until you hit your 10th or 15th year of bowhunting. It only gets worse my friend. 30 days for me, September 26th...

37 days for PA, or 888 hours, or roughly 3,196,800 seconds. Whichever you prefer. :deer:

15 days here too, but I have enough going on in my life to keep me busy. The older I get, the less I want to get worked up over stuff. I can't imagine 15 sleepless nights ahead of me....

Sept 15th for me. I can't wait either. I'm in full-time deer mode now. Shooting every day, watching videos, looking over maps, getting permission slips signed, reviewing my hit list, and dreaming about big bucks every night now. We'll see how excited I am to still be waking up almost every morning at 3:30 once October rolls around haha. Fortunately, my schedule allows me to do some form of a sit 4-6 days a week.
