I have hunted NH a lot, years ago we used to deer hunt in northern NH. Now we mostly just hare hunt on the Maine NH boarder.

One of these years I may luck out and draw a moose tag in NH ...we will see. Mostly I won't be living in the NE by the time that happens.

I am moving from Mass to NH in a couple weeks. I am really excited about it. Extended season AND sunday hunting! I am moving just above Manchester. Hows the hunting around there?

How does the tag system work in NH? My understanding is that I have access to 3 tags (2 archery only tags) and (1 gun only tag).

Is this correct? Can I just buy a archery license or do they require you to get a regular hunting license (the one that is used for gun) too?

so can I just buy an archery permit and not opt for also purchasing a regular hunting license? I know this would mean I can only get two tags (regular bow and special bow).

As far as I know you can just buy the archery tag and special tag and hunt bow only

We bear hunt the ME/NH border near Errol, lots of bunnies around there!

I have never hunted in NH, but always say I'm gonna buy my license since I deer hunt the border a lot too.
I did shoot the NH state record moose back in 2000 with a muzzleloader, which is still #1 today!
