This year 35 would be the furthest I would be able to get a shot. But practicing at further distance is nice for confidence. If you can stick a tight pattern at 40-50 yards at 30 you should have no problem

I killed a buck at 38 yards once.

I generally have my stands in thick areas and positioned for shots in the 15-25 yard range.

Furthest I've shot is 30 yards. The rest of my bow kills have been under 20

I've shot deer past 60 yards back years ago when I was young, brave and not so patient. For several years now I won't shoot much over 40 yards. I had one of my top hit list bucks at 50 last year and let him walk.

On a deer I would not shoot past 30. In my opinion, and with my shooting skills, past 30 would be unethical.

In perfect conditions I would shoot out to 50 yards. That said, iv never had those perfect conditions. My longest killshot was 42 yards on a doe. She didnt make it out of the field

Probably somewhere around 45 yards for me, depending on the situation. Mostly though, I'm looking for them within 25 yards.

45 yards on a calm unaware deer that is still....35 yards otherwise.

40 yards and in. Most of the deer I have killed have been 25 and in.

I would consider myself to be deadly out to 40 yards since I practice out to 50 and 60 just to make my 20-40 to seem easy. I honestly don't think i'd ever take a shot past 30 unless I was sitting on a open field with little to no wind and the deer was calm and still. I mostly hunt in the woods and it would honestly be tough to get a shot at 30. Most shots are 20 yards or less where I hunt.

30 yards is all most of my stand setups allow.

100 but I like to get close :)

Really though it is situation dependent, and the reality is in the overwhelming majority of instances as far as whitetail hunting goes my shots won't be over 30ish yards because that is how the stands are set. In all actuality 95% will be <20. My average shot is likely closer to 10yds.

That being said 90% of my practice is done at 60yds (farthest I can easily shoot from my patio) and I occasionally will shoot out to 100 for fun. Last year that really paid off....

I shot my buck at 10ish yds. Due to the angle I only caught 1 lung. After locating the buck 1/2 mi away and getting to 50yds I felt extremely confident in sending that finishing shot. Confidence kills

Im in the 30 club. Last buck I shot was at 31 and he ducked it enough that I hit spine. And my bow is fast! I got lucky and hit low spine, arrow deflected down and through lungs. Much farther and it would have been a clean miss.
