Welcome. There is an abundance of information not only on this forum but many others.

The woods is a great place to start for hunting. I was lucky and had a buddy show me the ropes now I'm obsessed. I have spots on public and private lands but I found these with research.

Mainly it comes down to how much work you are willing to put in. Bow hunting is very difficult and takes patience. If you put the time in the rewards are amazing.

Pick the brains of the people on this forum and go out scouting for the animal you wish to hunt.

You guys hunt in the woods? Damn, here I've been doing it wrong all these years.

Yup, become a regular here and read through a lot of the posts and you will learn a lot. Then use that information and apply it to yourself and how you hunt.

Welcome to the site! Check around and see if there is a bow shop with an archery range near by you.

welcome.... as for a where to hunt??? if you want walk for miles on end, sit for hours on end, get rained on, get cold, get hot, get attacked by every type of bug you can think of, and come home with nothing... the woods are a good place to start... if ya want to bring home the bacon... the supermarket works pretty good ;)

Welcome and ask away. If you know someone with land you could start by asking for permission, then there are hunt clubs and finally public land. You can check the with the local Department of Natural Resources for your state to find a list of public land available to hunt. Good luck and like others said don't be shy many of us are here to help.
