I have a ground blind but don't spend much time in it. I have used a (noisy) 5 gal. bucket with one of those swivel seat lids. I have an area where I might be using a ground blind instead of a treestand. Anyways, I need something with a back rest that isn't too heavy or expensive. What do you use and how do you like it?
I just have a small hunting chair that has a back on it. It folds up and has a strap on it to carry. Bought it at my local shop. I use a blind only for turkey. I can sit comfortable for hours on that chair. it is low enough to the ground that it is actually almost perfect for the height of my blind window. I also use the same chair when I am squirrel hunting.
I have a chair by Primos. Very quite and comfortable and inexpensive Bowtech invasion CX maxima 350 React 5 Reaper 2 inch
I made these from some boat seats. The have a silent swivel, are movable in the stand and cheap. That is if you can find some old boat seats for free. In fishing country (up north) people throw them away every spring. I took off the noisy, cold vinyl and put on some quiet/warm fabric. The next one I make will be for my 90 year old Dad. It will have a heated seat/back (made for a cars) built in, covered in wool. That should keep his back warm, he refuses to let me put a heater in his stand. I will just put a rv battery by his stand and plug it in. The 1" pipe with closet flanges is the latest version.
^^^^dems perty. Lol. My gramma Tina had those couches when I was little. Used to sit on them and stare at the pattern lookin for critters.
I used this for spring gobbler, it was $39 and it actually pretty comfortable. I wanted the Millennium chair but $200 for a chair is pretty steep and not in the budget this year.
I didn't pay $200 for mine. They have them on sale at the Deer Classic here every year. I will keep you posted next year when I see them.
I have 2 of these from Timber Ridge. Got em on sale for $19 a piece at Cabela. Perfect height and comfort, and small enough to fold one down and squeeze it into the bag with the blind.
I use one of the sports folding chairs with the cup holders...even did a power nap in one last year . Rusty
For bowhunting one of the triangular shaped foldable hunting chairs like the double bull above...for gunhunting I pull out the big comfy coleman camp chair with the arm rests and cup holders. I like the ones that have a little lean back to them as it makes the all day sits a little better on the low back. I got my triangular shaped one on sale I think at ****s for $19.99 and its held up several seasons just fine...the Colman ones I got at Walmart for like $40 each and I use them all the time from just sitting in the yard to going to events, to hunting, camping, etc.

I'm still using a pair of Huntmore 360 chairs I've had for years. Although I'm contemplating trying out a Redneck Blinds chair as well.
I tried to buy a Redneck chair this spring but they were back ordered until I wouldn't have time to practice out of it, so I went with the cheap Double Bull.
Don't have one but have sat on one and it's pretty comfy. http://shop.banded.com/c/gear_hunting-accessories_stools-and-chairs_swivel-blind-chairs?pkey=4d97c89187f86dc5a1f4b70b05dca754&ckey=61313.35668.1122638.1101443.0
