We had a rogue hog on our property running deer off the areas, so i put a plan together based on the trail camera photos and was able to lock down this guys pattern and go in after him. The first day's sit was uneventful, so i pulled the cards to figure out what changed. The hog, of which i named Bebop (kudos to you if you get the reference haha), had changed his pattern of hitting the first day's spot from visiting it at around 630-730pm to now visiting it between 5-6am. I pulled the card from a spot on the back of the property to find that he was now (over the prior 5days) coming out of this corner between 630-730pm. Over the course of 5days, he would come in the evening, make a big circle around the property (verified by other cams) and hit this back corner again between 954-1015pm, again at 130am, and once more between 330-430am, to the minute, every night. And after the hunt i found out he was actually in the clearing 20min before i got to the stand to setup (pics below).

Fast forward to last night, i was setup in the corner, had a good wind, and at 715pm he steps out on cue at 31yds. I drew back, let a Black Eagle fly, and dropped him in his tracks. I thought i spined him until i checked thru the binos and could see bubbles coming from the hole. To put him down quickly, a sent a follow up arrow thru his heart and put him down within a couple seconds. Putting this plan to action and having it unfold as it did gets me pumped up for deer season and hoping to repeat such success on one of my hit list bucks. As always i was filming, and some how during framing the shot in the camera missed the record button (extremely aggrevated by that part), but i did get the follow up shot on camera, a microscopic consolation prize. Even with the screw up on my end, it was a cool hunt and its always fun playing the chess match with these animals along the way. I'm putting together the video over the next day or so and will post it up on the boards once its finished. Good luck to everyone this fall!

Also, a thank you to Swine in the Pines (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Swine-In-The-Pines/204771609558929) for letting me hunt their property. This hunt wasnt in the client portion of the property, but I can tell you from past experience if you want to get after some Florida hogs this is the place to go!

Congrats! Looks like a pretty good sized hog. Sounds like you executed your game plan to perfection.

Nice pig. I get more worked up over pigs than deer. Don't know why but they get to me. Congrats.

I totally agree. The main reason I love it so much because you mostly always see something. I missed a nice 400lb on saturday:(
