Nothing more fun than gutting a big buck, good luck this fall.

I don't know why, but I LOL'd when I saw that Stan Potts pic. I love his overreactions.

I'm looking to make this a special and sentimental year in honor of my grandpa who passed away last year. I've made hunting more of a pressure and it took the fun out of it. I hope to restore the fun aspect this year.

You know Stan Potts is genuinely excited when his eyes go lazy and you're not sure what direction he is looking anymore.

My goal is to dial the pressure back this year. Last year I was so focused on my hit list bucks that I ended up not filling a single tag. 0-4

This year, I'm focusing on the sport and shooting any mature deer that give me a quality opportunity.

    Amen!

I'm doing the exact same thing except I'm dedicating the season to my dad.

My biggest goal is to kill anything with my 3 year old son this year... he had a blast going with me last year, but we are gonna get the job done this year! Then he can blood hound the deer WE shot!

My goals are gonna be tough to reach.
    1. Make it three years in a row to have the first contest entry.
    2. Call my shot again on a buck kill, gotta be over 135" or so.

Or maybe I will just enjoy putting arrows through a bunch of deer again this year!

I plan on spending time on stand remembering all of the hunts I shared with my Dad. I am also going to spend a lot of time sitting with my kids trying to get them on some good animals to keep them interested and hopefully hunting with me for years to come. Oh and I would like to shoot Rocky :)

Shoot a doe. Shoot a buck. Doesn't have to be in that order.
