My Rinehart 18:1 did not last long. The outside looked new but I couldn't pull my BHs out. I called Rinehart and the guy knew right away the issue. The core was chewed/cut up and a sliver gets behind a blade. I pulled an insert out of an ACC tying to get an arrow out. Not cover under warranty. He recommended I get a block style from them. I am looking at other brands.

What BH target worked/lasted for you? I am looking for one you would buy again. NOT a Rinehart.

Sorry I can't be of help...I have a block black target I've been using this summer, and I've had the same issue as you...the middle is no longer stopping arrows from passing through, and broadheads are chewing it up pretty good. The foam wants to separate right off the layered middle. I will follow this and see what you find out. I was going to buy a Rinehart next...now you have me wondering.

Its been years since I shot a broadhead at a target and not an animal. Since switching to the mechanical I'm using I have not had a need.

Yeah I have the Block and it doesn't handle broadhead very long. Chews the target right up. I was under the impression the 18:1 was the best available. If they can't handle broadheads either, I'm not going to waste money on a expensive field tip target.

I've been shooting QAD's into my 18-1 since last year and it is holding up great. Sorry you had issues with yours.

BHs are tough on any target.

I have shot at a lot of different targets and Rinehart is still the top dog. IMO.

Rinehart is the best I've used without a doubt. I've had pretty much all of them.

I agree...Rinehart is the best...not sure what target will hold up to Broadheads a lot. Would a crossbow target work?

I've been shooting an 18-1 for years. I keep rotating it and shooting all angles, but as the main core starts to wear out I pump it full of great stuff foam and let it swell then just trim it off when it dries. I've done this several times now.

I shoot my slick tricks into the 18:1 Rhinheart and it holds up great. But any target wont last longer then a season with BHs shot in it.

Do you only shoot broadheads at the target?

I've got a Glendel and been shooting broadheads into it and haven't had any issues. I don't shoot a lot but so far it's holding up. Had it about 2 years now.
