I dust all of my clothing in activated carbon powder and I throw some activated carbon pellets in my bag too. I use ddw detergent and dryer sheets because I've heard they're the best. I'm also trying the ddw field spray too. Last year I tried carbon synergy and it worked great. I have some left so if ddw doesn't work as good I'll go back to the carbon synergy.

According to research done at Rutgers University Scent Away is the most effective. It is my go to scent control system.

I have tried a number of different scent control techniques over the years. This year I am going to trying using smoke as a cover scent. Did it as a test when I checked trail cams on a hot day in July. Sweat my ba**s off and when I got back all I could smell on me was smoke.

I used this before too. I would say it's second to carbon synergy on my list. Dead down wind didn't give me a good first impression but I'll give it a go again. The first time I used it was my first year hunting so I might have been a little careless with other parts of my scent control routine.

Never heard of it but I'm going to look it up.
Just looked it up and I don't see what's in it to help control your scent. Do you know what they use?

I use Scent Away on boots and camo.

I use the wind for everything else.

I saw the review by Ike. It looks like a great cover scent just not something I would rely on for scent control.

I like dead down wind for their body/hair soap, toothpaste and breath spray
I use scent away detergent for my hunting clothes
I use a light application of deer herd in a stick for cover scent on the boots when walking in.

I've heard dumping fox urine on your clothing works like a charm.

I use the Dead Down Wind line of products and follow their scent control system and it has done wonders for me. I haven't been busted while in the stand for quite a few years now.

    Smitty,

The reason I think smoke may work is that it has a ton of good reviews yet there is no one that can make money off it. No professional hunters trying to convince to buy their brand of smoke :). Either way, I bought a cheap bee smoker on amazon and will be putting it through the paces this fall.
