Anybody do something special before and after a hunt? I know for me before the hunt I rub the skull of a big buck I found that's nailed to a tree in my back yard before I head up and then on the way out I rub this tree my dad shot that still has the broad head in it! anybody got something similar?

I usually have a beer after the hunt. Come to think of it I usually have a beer after most things I do...

I have a camo bandana that I always either have in my pocket or wear around my neck. It doesn't work, just ask my BH.com teammates from the past two contests...

I typically wake up 15 mins late.....down a mountain dew on the 85 mph drive to the mountain, drop a nasty turd beside the truck (using the back bumper as a rest) and sweat my ballz off hoofing it up the the hill to my favorite tree....then I typically play pool on my phone (and sometimes look at porn) till something shootable staggers by......then I kill the he11 out of said critter with maximum authority.....my post kill celebration typically involves booze and loose women :tu:

I have a pair of mismatched socks that I wear. Blue goes on the right and gray goes on the left.

I try to make a habit out of waking up before hunts and going to sleep afterwards but I don't always get it to work out.

No, I don't have any rituals associated with hunting that I can think of.

Just pray that I am safe as well as the other hunters in the woods and spray down with scent killer before! Afterwords I enter my observations into a note pad to compare with deer movement from previous years. Not really a ritual tho.

I stand on one foot, pat my head, hop in a circle, while drinking a beer...

I don't really have any rituals other than I never seem to sleep the night before the first day. You would think after 30+ years the excitement would wear off, but thankfully it never does :) .

After the hunt I log all the information from the hunt into my excel sheet. About the only ritual I have.

I always go see my parents after every hunt, morning hunts are the best because mom all ways cooks me a big breakfast, waiting on me when I get there.:):):):):) They live close to the farm I hunt

As boring as this sounds, I really want to start this ritual. I need to start cataloging more - from hunts and foodplot data.

Before - I thank God for the gifts he has giving me and the opportunity to hunt.
After - I thank God for the gifts he has giving me and the opportunity to hunt.
