How about Edwin Evers with back to back Elite series wins!?!?!? Very cool......that's Okie power ladies Would LOVE to hammer 77 pounds of Biggie Smalls in 4 days....I can't wait to see all the footage Anywho, post up thoughts and maybe some big fish pics....I gotta few to post tomorrow when I get to my pc.
Evers messed my fantasy team up but no worries, still leading the way I never could figure out how to catch more than 4 bass in one day...
Im not as nerdy as I used to be, but still pretty much there. Great guy, couldn't be more happy for him. Im a philly boy, so always cheering for Ike, and Ott is a friend so always pulling for him as well. But so many good guys on both tours, its a blast to watch.
He's on a roll for sure! We caught 100 or so smallies on our float Monday. Headed to Tenkiller this weekend to hopefully get on some big ones.
I still love it but don't tourney fish anymore. I suppose someday I'll get back into it but there just isn't enough spare time to do it while I'm also trying to raise my kid, hold down my job, and also hunt big deer in the midwest. I suppose someday I'll move back east and then I'll get back into it again.
I live on Tenkiller. Won last Thursday night One day before long the state record smallmouth will come from Tenkiller.....I gaurantee it
I've been a Skeet Reese fan for a while.....even got me some bright yellow Pumas I've known Jason Christie for years so gotta root for the local feller.....and I really like Jacob Powroznik, he seems like he'd be fun as he11 to fish with
Is the bass fishing worse in the midwest or you'd just rather focus on the big bucks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
P Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Texas have some of the finest Bass fishing there is, with opportunities for every style of fishing. Shallow water flippin, weeds, timber etc......and super clear water deep structure fishing. I love it here
Both. There were a lot of big water lakes back home within a couple hour drive that would produce 20+lb bags in any given tournament. There was also what I would consider the best smallmouth fishing in the world in several bodies of water all within driving distance. The deer hunting sucked though........bad. Now I've got some of the best deer hunting in the world and a couple of overfished mud puddles for lakes within driving distance. I still fish a few times a year and run the boat when I can, but I'm definitely putting in waaay more time scouting and prepping for deer season. I'm also spending waaaay more $$$ on leasing quality ground. I'm not sure how long I'll be in the midwest and I've got a fairly empty wall I want to fill with big deer heads while I'm here.
I would agree with you on this. I wouldn't consider any of those states to be midwest though with the exception of Missouri.
I'd rather have the bucks. And some of the NY lakes are great. Caught my personal best largemouth in an NY lake. And the upper Hudson is pretty good for smallies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I can agree with that.....SE Missouri has some stellar water....Table Rock is the bomb at night on a full moon. I think I prolly caught more spots and smallies in one night on that lake than ever before. My thumb was bleeding the next morning from lipping fish. Most of them were footballs....but it was terrible fun.
Upper Hudson is good, but Erie, Thousand Islands, and Ontario are IMHO the best smallmouth fisheries the world. Every year there are tourneys that produce 5 fish 30lb bags of smallies in each of these locations. Champlain is amazing as well, and Oneida isn't far behind. Last tourney I fished on Champlain I had 19lbs in a 50 boat field and only ended up in 4th place.
That's what I've heard but that's quite a hike for me and I haven't done it yet. Definitely on the bucket list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My wife's uncle is a guide on Lake Champlain. Great fishery with huge smallmouth they just need to get rid of the cormorants. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
