Feel like a kid at Christmas

I have one small 15 acre spot that I have all to myself. Landowner lets me do pretty much what I want. It was a great spot 10 years ago when I first got it, but every year the deer numbers go down. It is about 10 miles from my house. I have a buddy who lives about an hour away from me who I owe the world to. We used to hunt together years ago on a spot that him and his family had permission on. He now has a 17 year old son who LOVES to hunt, but they don't have any good spots. They really don't have anything but a few acres near their house. We have been looking for a spot that we could both hunt together, but the land around here is already taken. Anyways, I had my class reunion this weekend, and I was talking with a classmate who has a farm about 20 miles from my buddies house. She knows I hunt, and she just came out and said that they have a 40 acre spot, mostly woods, with a little bit of CRP, and its only about 5 miles from my buddies house!!! She said its all ours to hunt if we want!! I could have kissed here!! Going up tomorrow so she can show me where it is, and just show me around. Then this weekend hopefully my buddy and I can go out and set some cams up, and do some scouting.

Thanks everyone! Headed out in a bit here to meet her at her house, (she has horses, and my wife is a horse nut) then she will be taking us over to the hunting spot.
