So I put my red 40 on 15 sec video on the last time out. For some reason it took the 15 sec video in the daylight, and only 1-3 second videos at night. Is this a setting that I need to change? Or is this the way it normally operates on video mode?
    Thanks in advance.

Batteries are probably just about dead. Thats what was wrong with mine when that happened.

I think _____ (I will not call you that) is right. I usually don't do videos but the few times that I have, it's killed the batteries and when they batteries are low, they will usually only record for a few seconds. Try changing the batteries and if that doesn't work, send it back and tell them your problem.

Also, set it to half flash and have a trigger interval at 30+ seconds. There is nothing wrong with the camera, just the batteries are getting low and probably dont have enough time to recharge before it fires off the next video, thus the short videos.
Also double check their website for the firmware update. Cant hurt to update it.
