Just curious on everyones opinion. What is a set to you? A or B? To me I have always referred to A as being a set. A. B.
?! A set to me is a hang on in a tree that you hunt. I have multiple "sets" on the land I hunt mainly with two stand one for a hunter and one for a filmer. Then I also have trees on public land where I put "sets up" on yearly basis . To each their own.
I say both. I refer to a setup stand as a set, I guess its easier to say set than setup. but I guess technically a"set" is a pair? LOL good question
Good points. I personally just say I am going to hang a stand when I am only hanging one. But whenever we are going to put up two in the same tree or tree next to it we call it a set. I was just curious on what everyone else calls it.
Point well taken bud I think I got into the habit of saying after bowhunting for the past 5 years I confess I think its more of a terminology type thing that many of us have started using over the years between various different convo amongst people. To each his or her own man best of luck to everybody getting out hanging stands sets or whatever you wanna call them. Hope everybody has a safe season as well as successful.
I use it interchangeably, but usually just say stand. I also occasionally refer to antlers as horns.... gasp.
I just say "stand" and I've never heard anyone in real life say anything other than the name of the area or stand. I believe the tv shows use the word "set" because they always hang a "set of stands" One or two for the people filming or equipment.. then another stand for the hunter.
