I am serious! She is not easy or even tolerable to be around...her breath is down right BAD. I'm not sure what to do; give her tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich and Bloody Mary to wash it down? We did do peroxide to make her throw up, but we have the collateral damage to deal with. Ideas? MOBU
Dawn dish soap peroxide and baking soda, I would not want to be around when that skunk comes out, no matter what end it comes out of. Good Luck
I was kinda thinking this too. I shot many baby skunks growing up on a farm and never had one spray or put off near the odor an adult would.
Call a vet... The carnage around her with baby skunks littering the roadways seems unreal this year. Must be an abundant year for 'em for some reason. Every crow in upstate NY is probably suffering from bad breath.
Not true....my dog has been skunked four times; most recently by a lil one. I did not smell it when I checked before letting the dog out. While she didn't smell as bad as some of the other hits, it was enough to make the dog drag her face around the entire back yard. We have had luck with Dawn, baking soda and peroxide. Just make a paste rub it in, rinse and repeat. The pet groomer where we go to claims that a milk bath is better than the paste. Try feeding you dog milk, as the paste would be deadly if ingested. BTW, that is one tough (or stupid) critter you have there. Ate a skunk...that's crazy.
I was thinking too that baby skunks did have their glands functioning either. I guess this one did! This dog will eat ANYTHING, one of these days, things are not going to simply pass thru and she'll have an obstruction! Hopefully she is suffering, worse they we are! MOBU
