IT guys I am done ripping on you.

    In the past I have mocked and ridiculed IT people based on my experience with dealing with the IT people at work. I had a piece of crap work laptop and blamed the IT guys. Well I am here to say that I will no longer be dependent on IT people to keep my work machine up and running, and I won in the end. Last week I had an issue with my old laptop it was destroyed in an unfortunate incident. I was given a new laptop and I finally got what I had asked for a fine Apple product Mac Book Pro. Looks like I won't have anything to complain about now.:p

    Our company now gives every employee an option for Windows or Mac when laptops are up for replacement. Enjoy the new hardware!

    Most IT guys will tell you Apple products make users stupid. :p I know you will enjoy your Macbook. At the same time its not bulletproof and when there is a problem it will be a doozy. Tech guys can make your life miserable in so many different ways and you would never know it. I'd be nice to them.

    Oh yes... be werry werry nice to IT dudes!
    I crashed my laptop this past week (NOTE: DO NOT EVER... EVER shut your 'puter down during a Defrag!!!) and lost EVERYTHING!
    Consulting info, Student info, Church info, Photos, etc...
    Long story short - had my IT buddy get most of it back. It cost me a few dollars, as I needed to purchase a new operating system but because I backed stuff up (note to self: back up info monthly verses every six months!) that helped.

    What Heckler said. It's what I do for a living. Mac's do have their own problems and most IT guys don't know what to do with em because they don't work on em enough. And yes try to be nice to us. Not every problem is our fault. Cause next time your butt is on the line with your boss cause he is waiting on a report from you, we can help and get you back up and running or oooo look at that, your computer reformatted. ouch. hmm i cant remember where the backup is. Not saying I'd do that but I've seen it done way too many times.

    Our household has always been Apple from the old unit in the loft to iPhones and my wife's tablet. It is all what you are used to. I also like the fact that if I am having an issue I can make an appointment at an apple store and they will fix it.

    Germ as an IT parasite you need to pipe down and do your job and keep your thoughts to yourself. The problems normal people have with laptops and pcs is caused by rogue IT guys who can't get a date.;)

    Oh it was all wrecked screen and circuit boards, no repairing that machine. The best part was the look on the IT guys face, everytime I ripped on my PC to the IT guy and said I want a Mac he told me that there was no way I was going to be given an apple product. I had a huge smile on my face when he handed me the white apple box.
