Sorry i tried to post the video clip but wasn't able to...so i was watching Ted Nugent's "Spirit of the wild" earlier and shortly after his wife taking a decent 8 pointer in michigan with her bow they were recording a post kill video and in the background you can clearly see a doe walking behind them as calm as can be. Now you tell me what is so "Wild" about that lol it looked like they were setup in a zoo

A lot of hunting shows are like that. You never really know what ones are "wild" and what are high fence or used to human contact.

I've had doe around me while gutting a deer before so it doesn't seem to strange. When you work on land management for as long as they have im sure the deer start to get comfortable around people.

    land managment:jaw:
every thing i've seen of his properties look like a mowed park other than the places he puts out "feed".

"Uncle" Ted is a complete joke. Unfortunately he projects himself as the face of hunting and conservation and that is really bad for us real hunters and conservationists. He's been caught poaching for Christ's sake!

It may not be Him doing the work but someone is putting in time and work to make sure he gets his shots on camera.

I just think it's hilarious how far from actual hunting these shows can get, really starting to take away from the real reason why we do it

Ted's hunting in Michigan is primarily done on his property near Hanover in the Southern Lower Peninsula and its been high fenced for years.
Just the fact that his wife shot a nice 8 pt in Michigan should be a dead giveaway. :moose:

Exactly my point, it's all for TV i guess, i would love to see a hunting show that is done purely on public land and using true hunting tactics instead of all the marketing b/s that is out there today, i guess there wouldn't be much of a show though with these so called "pro hunters"

Calm down people.......relax. Don't believe all the hype be it good or bad. In no way am I saying he's perfect but just remember how the media can spin things into lies and half truths. Unfortunately, many of us want to believe the negative. Funny , just the mention of his name causes hysteria. BTW.....I'm not a supporter nor a detractor of Ted's.

I'm a Nugent fan, I don't watch his shows but he supports our rights as hunters and Americans. He takes everything to the extreme, but I support fellow hunters as long as they're abiding by the game laws. People need to calm down, let people do what they wish as long as it's within the laws.

If you support fellow hunters that follow the law then you should not be supporting Ted. He has 2 game violations one shown on TV. Deer over bait and wounding a bear and shooting another. His support of vets is laughable considering what admitted to in an interview on what he did to get out of being drafted. Third he is a scum bag in his pursuit of underage women.
