My dad just emailed me pictures of this new buck, and he thinks he'll go over 150... I'm not so sure he's that good but neither of us have much experience judging big deer so I thought I'd pass it along to all you experts and get your opinion. Sure is a beaut though, and look at the eye guards!

New to the forum, and I am hooked! Awesome stuff everybody, thanks

I'd say mid 130's, great looking buck! Welcome to the forum!

I'll guess mid 140's gross. He won't look that good when velvet comes off. Tine length makes up roughly 40% of the score and his aren't all that long except those brows, short on mass and width.

He's a fine deer though, anyone would be proud of him.

Im gonna say he will break 140, 150 is hard to hit but either way I would do cart wheels if I shot him!

Thanks for the thought guys! Ya, I didn't think he had much of a chance at hitting 150, but neither of us have ever shot a buck over 130 so he is certainly enough to get us excited!

I'd say he will push 40 but not much more. He is certainly a beautiful buck and I would be excited to take him given the chance. Good luck with him and welcome to the forum.

    Blessings.........Pastorjim

I'd say he will be in the 140s. He's definitely a nice deer. Good luck with him.

I'm going to go higher than everyone else and say he touches or come close to the 150 mark. Those brows could add 20 inches on their own and will definitely make up for the rest of his tine length.

Hard to guess mass right now but I have him at 136" when I actually try to guess all the measurements and add them up. Little more accurate then just throwing a number at him but then again... its just a guess.

A deer's ear on average is 6" long. The longer of the two brows is probably not much more than 8". That's my thought.
